Immigration reform activists like you engaged in solidarity actions nationwide: from echo events all across the country, to changing your Facebook cover image, to tweeting your support at #A10 #TimeIsNow, and the tremendous amount of calls you made to your Senator.
A staffer in the Hart Senate building was overheard saying: "I've never seen the building so busy." Senate offices were getting slammed with calls, petition deliveries and meetings to discuss what we have all been waiting for—swift action on immigration legislation to give relief to 11 million workers and family members that need a pathway to citizenship now.
Recognizing the urgency for much needed reform, members of the Make The Road NY delegation organized mobile phone bank, calling into Senator Schumer from the bus as they rode into DC.

As Dolores Huerta said yesterday at the DC Rally for Citizenship, we are the ones to make the Senators do the right thing. Congress recognizes our movement is one that cannot be ignored. We have the power.
